Mini Musos

Exploring music through play, creativity, and discovery

Mini Musos is an engaging and inclusive music group for children aged 6 to 9 (Kindergarten to Year 2) who are beginning their musical journey. The program introduces young musicians to a wide range of musical experiences through hands-on activities involving tuned percussion, ukuleles, djembes, and singing.

Rehearsals explore essential musical concepts such as pitch, rhythm, harmony, composition, and basic notation. Learning is delivered through playful and creative approaches that encourage curiosity, imagination, and active participation. Children develop confidence as they experiment with sound, work collaboratively, and contribute to ensemble music-making.

Mini Musos also supports social development by fostering teamwork, listening skills, and cooperation. Children are encouraged to perform both as part of a group and individually in a supportive environment that celebrates effort and progress.

The program is ideal for children who are curious about music but not yet ready to commit to a specific instrument, as well as those planning to begin instrumental lessons in the future. Mini Musos provides a strong foundation for continued musical learning while promoting enjoyment, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
