Little Lyrics

Building joyful voices from the very beginning

Little Lyrics is an introductory choir for children aged 5 to 8 (Kindergarten to Year 2) that nurtures a love of singing through engaging, age-appropriate repertoire. The program focuses on developing healthy vocal habits, musical awareness, and confidence in a supportive group setting.

Through singing games, simple songs, and interactive activities, children explore core musical concepts such as pitch, rhythm, and dynamics. These foundational skills support early musical development while encouraging creativity and attentive listening. Rehearsals are structured to be energetic, positive, and accessible, ensuring that young singers remain motivated and engaged.

Singing in a choir also promotes social growth. Children learn to work as part of a team, blend their voices, and support one another through shared musical experiences. These collaborative skills contribute to confidence, communication, and a sense of belonging within the group.

Little Lyrics regularly performs at Conservatorium events, giving children the opportunity to share their progress in a friendly performance environment. These experiences help build stage confidence while celebrating each child’s musical development.

As an introduction to choral singing, Little Lyrics provides a strong foundation for future music learning and fosters a lasting enjoyment of music.
