Sound Explorers delivers immersive, high-energy music experiences directly to regional schools, designed to spark curiosity and creativity across K-6 classrooms. Across three separate days, Tamworth Cons teachers travel to schools, transforming halls into lively spaces of sound, rhythm, and exploration.
Each one-hour session is tailored to specific stage outcomes within the NSW Creative Arts syllabus and built for whole-class participation. Schools can select the workshop that best suits their students, from vibrant tuned and untuned percussion rooted in global rhythm traditions, to an engaging country-music session with storytelling led by guest artist Ashleigh Dallas, or an informal introduction to orchestral instruments brought to life through live chamber music.
These sessions are experience-led, inclusive, and inspiring, encouraging students to play, listen, and respond as active music-makers. Proudly supported by Crosby Foundation, all workshops are offered to schools at no cost.
