Presented by the Tamworth Chamber Singers with a chamber ensemble, this concert offers a programme drawn from Baroque and early Classical traditions. Shaped in four theological panels, the music tells the Christmas narrative with clarity, restraint, and purpose.
At the heart of the programme are selected movements from Messiah by George Frideric Handel, framed by unaccompanied choruses, early motets, and solo arias.
Simple congregational carols are woven into the programme as moments of collective response, reflecting the unfolding story rather than interrupting it. From Advent expectation to the quiet radiance of Christ’s birth, this concert presents Christmas as contemplation, proclamation, and sacred drama expressed through music of enduring depth and beauty.
The Tamworth Chamber Singers will also be presenting this concert at the Quirindi Uniting Church on Saturday, 28 November.
